Key Responsibilities:
To lead and control all production planning, material planning, and inventory management activities in a palm oil refinery, ensuring optimal production efficiency, on-time delivery, cost control, and alignment with sales, procurement, and operations.
Develop short-term, mid-term, and long-term production plans for refinery operations (RBD Palm Oil, Olein, Stearin, Specialty Fats, etc.).
Create and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecast, plant capacity, and raw material availability.
Translate sales forecasts and customer orders into executable production and material plans.
Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure supply-demand alignment.
Manage changes in demand and re-plan production accordingly.
Control and optimize raw material, WIP, packaging, and finished goods inventory.
Ensure inventory levels meet service level targets while minimizing excess stock and working capital.
Monitor stock aging, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
Plan and control crude/refined palm oil, additive, chemical, and packaging material requirements.
Ensure timely availability of materials to support continuous refinery operations.
Align purchasing plan with supplier lead times and import schedules (if applicable).
Monitor daily production output vs plan and analyze variances.
Identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions to improve refinery throughput.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (yield, cycle time, loss reduction).
Job Requirement :
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8–12 years experience in PPIC / Supply Chain / Production Planning
Strongly preferred experience in palm oil refinery, edible oil, oleochemical, or FMCG manufacturing
Strong understanding of refinery processes & tank-based production
Production planning & inventory control principles
ERP/MRP systems (SAP highly preferred)
Forecasting & capacity planning
Data analysis and reporting
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
