About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to lead a team of approximately 12 employees across four departments at our boutique wellness retreat center in Sukawati, Bali. This is a leadership-focused role for someone who takes genuine pride in operational excellence, developing people, maintaining impeccable property standards, and creating systems that work. We are looking for a proactive, charismatic, and solutions-oriented leader who thinks ahead, anticipates challenges, and takes ownership without requiring constant supervision.
Key responsibilities
Inspire, mentor, and hold accountable a team of 12 employees across four operational departments, fostering a positive, professional, and high-performing culture.
Ensure all accommodations, buildings, wellness facilities, equipment, and grounds are consistently maintained to impeccable standards.
Enforce established Standard Operating Procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and adapt systems as operational needs evolve.
Proactively identify challenges, investigate root causes, and implement practical, long-term solutions.
Conduct regular property inspections, monitor departmental performance, and ensure daily operations run efficiently.
Delegate, prioritize, and oversee operational tasks and maintenance projects, ensuring accountability and timely completion.
Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors. Ensure quality, reliability, timely delivery, competitive pricing, and adherence to agreed service standards.
Anticipate future maintenance, staffing, vendor, and operational needs before they become problems.
Maintain clear communication with employees, vendors, and ownership, providing concise operational updates and recommendations.
About you
Minimum 5 years of proven management and leadership experience, preferably in boutique hospitality, resorts, villas, or property operations.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and team development skills.
Strong understanding of property maintenance, preventative care, and quality control.
Demonstrated ability to implement, manage, and improve operational systems and SOPs.
Experience managing vendors, suppliers, contractors, and external service providers.
Excellent organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Technically proficient with digital task management software, spreadsheets, and operational systems.
Fluent spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Highly proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working independently.
